Minot Lumber & Hardware is growing! We're looking for a driven Outside Sales Professional to join our team. This role focuses on building strong relationships with contractors and homeowners alike—helping them find the right building materials and solutions for their projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Train on point-of-sale (POS), estimating, and LMS systems during onboarding
  • Prospect and retain client relationships—both new and existing
  • Reach out to builders and prospective clients to quote their upcoming projects
  • Schedule and attend initial meetings with new clients to discuss project bids
  • Review estimates and ensure accuracy before presenting to customers
  • Lead proposal meetings and address client questions and concerns
  • Manage the full sales process, including:
    • Estimating and quoting projects
    • Writing orders
    • Ordering special materials
    • Coordinating deliveries and site needs
    • Performing material takeoffs and project estimates
  • Provide continued support throughout the customer's project lifecycle

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, construction, or building materials is preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own sales pipeline
  • Knowledge of lumber, millwork, cabinetry, and construction supplies is a plus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a team-first environment

Compensation & Benefits:
